Experience

Marching Soundscapes was founded by John Kammerer, a Los Angeles-based music producer, sound designer, audio engineer, composer, and educator whose sound design and live ensemble engineering can be heard in top-ranking drum corps and BOA/UIL high school marching bands across the nation.

John acted as sound designer and live audio engineer for the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps during the 2015 and 2016 seasons and is currently the sound designer for the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps.

He earned his MM in French Horn Performance from the University of South Carolina, and currently he teaches sound design, synthesis, Ableton Live, theory, ear training, and production at the Icon Collective College of Music in Los Angeles, CA.

Marching Soundscapes consistently provides ensembles of all sizes with creative sound design solutions, pre-show audio, sound system installations, and audio engineering.

Individual Audio Files

Have a specific sound you need that can’t be easily found? Maybe there’s an empty spot in the show that needs some support, or a particular voiceover that you need sourced and processed to sound polished and powerful. I can make it for you! Audio Installation & Engineering

Leave the endless nest of cables to me! I offer everything from audio engineering a complete grounds-up hardware installation. In most cases the two go hand-in-hand: I will consult with you to plan and personally implement your hardware setup, set up your mixer, computers, synthesizers, sample playback system, EQ and process your live audio the get the most out of your mic’d instruments, and set up your soloist audio processing. The result will be a reliable, easy to set up sound system that sounds great!
